TuckerRed Roan Quarter Horse Gelding

    Name:   Tucker
Breed and Color:   Red Roan Quarter Horse
    Age:   18
    Height:   14.2 hh
    Gender:   Gelding

One of the friendliest faces on the farm belongs to sweet and goofy Tucker. We’re pretty sure this boy has never met a stranger and he can often be found following his friends around like a loyal pup. He is good with the vet, nice to the farrier, doesn’t mind getting hosed down and doesn’t give much bother to dogs and machinery. Tucker is always a true character and his curiosity never ceases! But put him under saddle and his talent and intelligence shine. Our trainer thinks he might have been a solid ranch horse in his previous life because of his quiet and attentive demeanor. This horse is a  goody-two-shoes who is eager to please and fun to work with in either a snaffle or halter. He tailors his energy to match that of his rider and would make a wonderful family horse.

An easy-keeper, Tucker is currently living the good life full-time in an outdoor paddock with a mixed herd of fellow rescues. He’s a middle-of-the-pack gent that doesn’t make too much of a splash. He doesn’t get grain regularly and doesn’t need a lot of work to stay in shape. However, he does want to have some work; both he and friend Henrietta were previously adopted from Believe but were returned after their new family’s kids got into other sports and no longer had enough time for riding.

Tucker is up-to-date on vaccines, worming, teeth float, farrier, and vetting.

Recommended Rider:  Suitable for all levels of riders, including kids. Tucker is a wonderful horse who will help to build the confidence of any rider.

Adoption Requirements:   Tucker’s best friend is an athletic riding mare named Henrietta. Because of their bond, they need to be adopted together.

Ailments/Limitations:  None! Tucker is currently barefoot and sound. He does have a bit of swelling from scar tissue on his left front knee but it doesn’t seem to affect him.
