ReeceTri-Color Paint Quarter Horse or QH Cross Gelding

    Name:   Reece
Breed and Color:   Tri-Color Paint Quarter Horse or QH Cross
    Age:   25
    Height:   TBD hh
    Gender:   Gelding

A hairdresser’s delight, Reece boasts a mane and tail of hair that can put most My Little Pony or Barbie horses to shame! Another of the new “R” rescues, Reece was saved from auction a few months ago with friends Rory and Rooster. They spent some extra time in quarantine as he and Rooster put on some much-needed poundage but recently arrived at Believe to a warm welcome from the team and his fellow rescues. We don’t know much about his past or personality yet, but it is clear that this sweet old boy loves people! He is a friendly face that likes to follow you along the fenceline and supervise what is going on in and out of the barn. Reece also looks to be easygoing, curious, and a bit of an attention hog. But he is so cute – and his hair is so luscious and brushable – that we are totally fine to indulge in showering him with all the pets and cuddles he wants.

Reece is currently residing in a large paddock with access to a stall and a covered shelter. He’s roommates with his two gelding buddies from quarantine and seems to be pretty comfortable in the middle or lower ranks with them. He has had a visit from the farrier already and was a star customer.

Reece is up-to-date on vaccines, worming, teeth float, farrier, and vetting.

Recommended Rider:  Reece is rumored to be dead-broke and kid-safe. Because of his age, though, this old chap deserves to be retired and living the good life. However, after evaluation and fattening up, our trainer may find that he could tolerate an occasional light kids ride. Stay tuned for updates!

Adoption Requirements:   Reece was recently rescued with two other geldings, senior Rooster and teen Rory. We are still getting to know the group and are excited to observe their personalities and interactions!

Ailments/Limitations:  This senior gentleman came into rescue severely underweight. Luckily, his teeth are in good shape and he has a healthy appetite. Reece enjoys slurping his mash to pack on some much-needed pounds and he will likely need continued special care to keep him at a healthy weight.

REECE IS STILL CURRENTLY UNDERGOING TRAINING AND EVALUATION AT BELIEVE RANCH & RESCUE AND IS NOT CURRENTLY UP FOR ADOPTION. HOWEVER, HE WILL BE AVAILABLE AND LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME SOON!
